TRAINING PHILOSOPHY

Strength, stamina and sculpt define our training philosophy.

Our training mimics every day life as we battle through emotional, physical and mental challenges we believe the only way to get through these stresses are to attack them head on. In our training we battle through these obstacles incorporating diaphragm breathing and our motivation techniques. As we are able to get stronger physically we learn emotionally and mentally we become stronger as well. Thus we are able to gain the stamina to battle our outside stresses with the tools necessary to overcome them.

  • STRENGTH
    Strength: Is the ability to move resistance. We believe without strength all other forms of training are rendered useless. With strength we can stave off injury and weakness and keep active and productive well into our golden years. Strong body helps to strengthen our mind and allow us to explore doing things we would never think about doing out of fear and weakness. Strong body- strong mind.

    Our strength training is broken down into two parts – muscle isolation and functional movement.

    Muscle isolation helps to strengthen every moving part of your body so that each part can function in a healthy and supporting manner.

    Functional movement is taking every day activities and sporting events and performing patterns that mimic those activities. If we train in movement patterns we will be successful in completing each function that we are participating in.

    Muscle isolation is utilized in a training program that provides pyramid training. Meaning we will do sets of an exercise with rep ranges that vary from 15-3.  Progressively getting our clients’ stronger, varying the resistances that we use keeps them continuing to make progress and stave off injury.

    Functional movement is combined in patterns of exercises that can be used in multiple ways. Either one movement at a time or in a circuit of exercises one after another, all done in a manner to enhance the movement and flow of the body.

  • STAMINA
    Stamina: Defined as physical exertion, power and strength done over a long period of time. We believe stamina is important because in life we are faced with many situations and obstacles that make us dig deep into heart, mind and body to push through and reach the other side. Sometimes these challenges present themselves over the course of days, months and years and if you are not physically and mentally prepared your body will break down.

    Our stamina program will combine multiple exercises done one after another for a timed period of exertion. Our stamina will combine strength, power and endurance.

  • SCULPT
    Sculpt:  We believe that all fitness programs are not created equal. At Peak Physique not only will you be strong, have stamina to reach your goals and work through obstacles but you will also look fit. The problem with other fitness programs is that they will focus on one or the other and leave some thing out. We cover all that is necessary in a fitness program to mimic every day life challenges; help you reach your goals; keep you healthy and strong; change your body so that you are proud of the way that you look.
